The Humanity Support Organization (HSO) is non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian and development organization with its Headquarter in Mogadishu and have sub-offices across south central Somalia, HSO was initiated in December 2000, HSO is among the major humanitarian organization operating in Somalia, providing Humanitarian, relief and development services since 2000. HSO is one of the largest NGOs in the country, with a significant presence across South Central Somalia, Puntland, and Galmudug.
HSO’s Vision:
- is to empower vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, and returnees, to achieve durable solution and a life free from violence and deprivation,
- To ensure that displaced and vulnerable populations in Somalia can access their rights and achieve durable solutions,
- To create a Somalia where displacement is minimized, and those affected by displacement can live with dignity and self-reliance.

HSO’s Mission:
- includes providing both rapid response interventions and long-term solutions through programs like food security, Livelihood, wash, shelter and NFI, education, protection, women empowerment, child protection and peacebuilding
- is to provide food assistance and support development initiatives to help vulnerable populations build resilience against shocks and achieve food security.
- This involves both life-saving interventions during crises and long-term development programs aimed at strengthening food systems and livelihoods
